I'm sure many, if not all, of you have seen the devastation of Hurricane Matthew on Haiti. According to a United Nations report, here are some facts about the magnitude of the devastation on the people of Haiti:
While the orphanages and children MAM supports were not directly affected by Hurricane Matthew, the enhanced strain on the overall economic condition of the country has also caused a general shortage of food, water, medical attention and other necessary life sustaining supplies.
Given the current situation, we are urging you to consider sponsoring a child with a donation of just $1 per day. For just $1 per day, $30 per month and $360 per year, you can ensure your sponsored child receives the sustenance they need to live and, hopefully, some day thrive.
MAM, which has been operating in Haiti since the 2011 earthquake, has a network of volunteers and supporters - all unpaid - that has a process for purchasing food & supplies at local markets (thus cutting out middlemen to maximize the impact of every dollar donated) and distributes the food and supplies to each orphanage on a monthly basis. And, 100% of the donations go directly to supporting the orphanages with no overhead.
Please find it within your heart to sponsor a child.
God Bless,
Hannah & Joe
